Mithras


Mitra (मित्रः) was the name of a god praised in the Rig Veda, meaning ‘friend’ or ‘friendship’ in Sanskrit. Historians disagree about whether Mithras was an ancient deity rebranded for first century Roman worship or a rival to Christ. He was born on Christmas Eve.
